The Piconode is an ultra-compact wireless data logger designed for long-term, unattended monitoring in confined spaces. It captures data from voltage, potentiometer, Wheatstone bridge, thermistor, and pulse-output sensors — making it ideal for environmental, geotechnical, and structural monitoring where space is at a premium.
The Piconode supports voltage (±7.5 mV/V for FWB, 0–5 VDC for single-ended), potentiometer (0–5 VDC), Full Wheatstone bridge, thermistor (0 Ω to 2 MΩ), and pulse counter (0 to 4.3 billion pulses) inputs. This covers load cells, strain gauges, pressure sensors, NTC thermistors, rain gauges, flow meters, displacement sensors, and more.
Battery life depends on the selected reporting period and battery configuration. With a 1-hour reporting interval, the 1-cell configuration achieves 8.6 years, while the 2-cell configuration reaches 17.2 years. With a 6-hour interval, the 2-cell configuration exceeds 25 years. Batteries are user-replaceable.
Absolutely. The Piconode features a fully potted IP68-rated enclosure designed to withstand submersion, dust, and extreme temperatures from −40°C to +80°C. Its ultra-compact, robust design makes it ideal for installation in manholes, boreholes, structural joints, and other harsh environments where traditional loggers would fail.
In open sight, the range can reach up to 15 km (9.3 mi). In dense urban environments, up to 4 km (2.5 mi). When placed in a manhole, the range extends up to 2 km (1.2 mi), and in tunnels it reaches up to 4 km (2.5 mi). Range depends on terrain, environment and antenna configuration.
The Piconode can be configured wirelessly via the Worldsensing App using Bluetooth — no laptop needed. The app provides a wiring assistant, field sampling mode, signal coverage testing, and full diagnostics. For remote management, configuration can be done through CMT Edge or CMT Cloud platforms.
