A Tiltmeter measures small changes in an object’s inclination — rotation, settlement, track cant or slow tilt of slopes and structures. It’s built to reveal gradual trends and sudden shifts that indicate instability or misalignment.

Inside the unit, precision MEMS accelerometers sense the gravity vector and temperature. Onboard firmware converts those signals into angle values (with compensation and filtering), timestamps each sample, and forwards the readings to your gateway or cloud for analysis.

Tiltmeters are designed for high-resolution monitoring suitable for engineering decisions — they capture very small, repeatable changes (much smaller than what the human eye detects). Exact resolution and repeatability depend on the model and configuration; see the product datasheet for per-device specs.

The device runs in low-power modes and can operate unattended for years when reporting at typical intervals. You can further extend life with sleep schedules or external power options. Routine checks (battery status, antenna, and physical mounts) are recommended during scheduled site visits.

Yes — data is transmitted via LoRa/LoRaWAN gateways to cloud endpoints and is provided in common data formats/APIs so it can be pulled into dashboards, alarm systems, or asset-management software. We can also deliver custom integrations or webhooks if your platform requires them.

Install on a stable reference surface (concrete pier, instrumented structure, track sleeper) with rigid mounting hardware and clear line-of-sight for the antenna where possible. Use vibration-damping or thermal isolation as required, align the sensor axis during commissioning, and protect the unit with the appropriate enclosure or tamper-resistant fixings for exposed sites.
